Allergy-Friendly Side Dishes

Is it possible for a person to enjoy Thanksgiving side dishes more than the actual turkey? Can I be open and honest with you all? I don’t really like turkey! It’s actually one of the few items I skip over during food-centric holiday feasts. You can find me loading my plate with side dishes like sweet potatoes topped with marshmallows, gluten-free cornbread dressing, cranberry sauce, and mashed potatoes. Oh, I can’t forget about my mother-in-law’s collard greens and sugar-glazed carrots. Here are a few allergy-friendly side dish ideas for you!

Allergy-Friendly Desserts

The bulk of the allergy-friendly recipes on my blog are sweet. I love all things sweet and find that the best gluten-free or vegan recipes are best (and safer) if prepared at home.  That being said, I have quite a few options that can be added to the sweet end of your Thanksgiving table. More traditional recipes like my sweet potato cornbread cake, sweet potato cookies, and brown sugar peach crisp are so delicious your family will have no idea that they are gluten-free and vegan. If you’re looking for a fun, quick, and easy cookie recipe that the kids can help with, I highly suggest these Marshmallow Carob Chip Cookies. Here are more Thanksgiving dessert menu suggestions.
