Friday nights have a tendency to leave us hungover and hangry the next morning. So why not even out with Maggiano’s “egg-cellent” brunch & beverages?
Read on to learn more about Maggiano’s new brunch menu!
This past Sunday I ventured out to Memorial City Mall for Brunch at Maggiano’s. Though I am not a huge fan of Italian food, I decided to see what Maggiano’s brunch had to offer. Boy was I pleased with Chef Phillipe Verain’s egg-cellent brunch menu.
Our meal started with a citrus tart. The debate is still out whether it was lemon or orange, but it was the perfect nibble to get my mouth in gear. Ever tried Lemon Ricotta Pancakes? Chef Verain’s LRP’s are fluffy and delicious. Scroll to the bottom for the recipe.
“The Key to great pancakes is patience.” – Chef Philippe Verain
Over indulgence is my claim to fame so our round off Eggs Benedict were no challenge for me. The Meatball and Crab Cake Benny’s were too legit to quit. The Crab Cake was hands down my favorite. Mainly because there’s so much crab meat. Though, I could be wrong, I think they used a whole crab in my order!
For all my Vegetarians, Maggiano’s has a killer Vegetable Frittata with your name all over it. Well, both our names because I greedily ate both mine and what was left over from my table guests. Finally, the piece de resistance. Maggiano’s Cranberry Raisin Focaccia, Creme Brulee French Toast. This ain’t yo’ mama’s french toast. This is adult french toast, topped with syrup and fresh fruit.
BOOZY BRUNCH COCKTAILS
Booze makes brunch even sweet, and the $7 price tag makes them sweeter. Maggiano’s offers three brunch beverage options: Mimosa’s, Bloody Mary’s and Frozen Peach Bellini’s.
The boozy brunch *cocktails at Maggiano’s are a great paring for their egg-cellent brunch. Bloody Mary’s are always a safe bet. Though, I like mine with a bit more heat, their’s were good. Maggiano’s frozen peach bellini was delicious. I rarely go from frozen drinks due to my ultra sensitive teeth, but I would return for this cocktail alone.
Maggiano’s brunch is available Saturday & Sunday until 3pm!
