via STUDIO Productions
Join some of Houston’s hottest chefs as they come together for one of the city’s most original culinary competition—the 4th Annual Curry Crawl is back and turning up the heat on Sunday, June 7th from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Hosted by Chef John Sikhattana of STRAITS (800 Sorella Court) and held at his restaurant in CITYCENTRE, this year’s 11 competing restaurants represent the best in culinary creativity and a variety of cultures and flavors. The annual sellout event will raise money for Spaulding for Children and their efforts in building and sustaining strong, nurturing families for children who have endured abuse, neglect or abandonment.
The afternoon dine-around will take place throughout the restaurant, with stellar outdoor views of CITYCENTRE plaza. Guest will enjoy unlimited tastings of exquisite bites infused with curry, flavorful wines, Leprechaun Cider, and hand-crafted Bacardi cocktails, which are included in the ticket price ($55).
The 11 competitors will compete for the Grand Prize, Best Presentation and People’s Choice awards. Phaedra Cook, food editor of the Houston Press; Eric Sandler, food editor of Culture Map; Dining Diva Cleverley Stone and more celebrities will be tasked with judging a fusion of different bites, while “People’s Choice” will be determined by guest votes. Guests will cool down with beverages sponsored by Bacardi, La Marca Wines, William Hill Winery, Artesa Wines, Leprechaun Cider and VOSS water.
