Bottomless Brunch and Mimosas for Mother’s Day

Being a die hard momma’s girl this is one of my favorite holidays because nothing gives me more joy that spending time with one of my favorite people. Typically we hang out on her back porch and sip wine while she opens gifts, with the occasional back and forth to check on the lavish Sunday feast SHE prepares.

This year I think I will treat her! As there are so many amazing restaurants offering fantastic food and drink specials like bottomless brunches and mimosas. Check out the listings below and treat your mom like the Queen she is!

Damian’s Cucina Italiana
3011 Smith Street

Damian’s Cucina Italiana presents two special dishes in honor of Mother’s Day: the Filet Oscar with béarnaise and jumbo lump crab meat over grilled beefsteak tomato accompanied by grilled asparagus ($39) plus a Grilled Red Snapper topped with mushroom trifolati served over a saffron-green pea risotto ($32).  End the meal on a sweet note with two, new additions to the restaurant’s delectable desserts – a Chocolate Salted Caramel Cake and Sky High Lemon Meringue Pie.  Damian’s will be open from 11 am until 3 pm on Mother’s Day with a full a la carte menu.

220 Main Street

LINE & LARIAT restaurant, located in the heart of Hotel ICON’s stunning turn-of-the-century lobby, will offer a Mother’s Day brunch buffet from 10 am until 2 pm.  Choose from cold offerings like Seafood Salad with lemon caper aioli; Kalbi Beef Salad with spicy peanuts and crisp kimchi vegetables; and Prawn Cocktail & Smoked Salmon served with crostini and dill cream cheese.  Rosemary Crusted, Hand Carved Prime Rib; Potlatch Roasted Fresh King Salmon with mushroom risotto; and Three Cheese Au Gratin Potatoes are just a few hot station highlights.  And don’t miss desserts such as Strawberry Shortcake, Red Velvet Cake, Caramel Apple Cake and Flourless Double Chocolate Torte.  The cost is $65 for adults and $35 for children 12 and under.  A make your own Bloody Mary bar will also be available for an additional fee.

Hubbell & Hudson Bistro
24 Waterway Avenue

Treat mom with a day to remember at The Woodlands’ acclaimed Hubbell & Hudson Bistro, where between 9 am and 3 pm, Chef Austin Simmons will serve a number of savory and sweet additions to the a la carte menu.  Highlights include Ricotta and Basil Stuffed Squash Blossoms; Bacon & Ham Quiche; and White Chocolate Cream Cheese Mousse.  For those looking for something more quick and casual, Hubbell & Hudson Kitchen will be showcasing two Mother’s Day specials from 7 am until 9 pm – Crab Cake Benedict plus Oak Grilled Red Snapper with lemon pepper grilled zucchini and herb potato salad.

Hyatt Market Street, The Woodlands

Hyatt Market Street, The Woodlands will offer a sumptuous Mother’s Day brunch with seating options at 10 am, noon and 2 pm.  Start your dining experience at the cold kitchen with appetizers such as Lemongrass & Ancho Pepper Poached Shrimo; Baby Field Greens; Ditallini Pasta with Texas Corn and Grilled Scallop and Shishito Pepper Ceviche.  Up next: late breakfast highlights like Homemade Buttermilk Biscuits; Fresh Baked Mini Quiche; Brown Sugar Bacon; and Chicken-Sausage with cranberry and feta cheese.  For those craving lunch, the hotel treats with Texas Gulf Snapper and Crawfish; Lemon and Thyme Scented Chicken; and Carved Roasted Pork Loin.  Made-to-order omelets and build-your-own Belgian waffles are also available.  Make room for desserts including Chocolate Cherry Bread Pudding, Home-Style Summer Berry Skillet Cobbler and assorted mini pastries.  The cost is $58 per person for adults and includes bottomless mimosas – bottomless, build-your-own Bloody Mary’s are an additional $15 per person.  A special kid’s menu is $25 per child and offers items ranging from chicken tenders to corn dog nuggets, french fries plus mac & cheese.  Children under 5 are complimentary.

RA Sushi offers an affordable splurge this Mother’s Day with happy hour from 11 am to close at both the Highland Village and CITYCENTRE locations.  Mom will recognize your thoughtfulness, and you’ll appreciate the savings with an extensive selection of sushi, appetizer, and tapas favorites like the Tootsy Maki, Viva Las Vegas Roll and Pineapple Cheese Wontons, plus a wide variety of beer, wine, sake, and signature cocktails, including refreshing Sake Sangrias made with white or red wine.

Radio Milano

Chef Jose Hernandez presents two special options for Mother’s Day at CITYCENTRE’s Radio Milano.  From 10 am until 3 pm, indulge on brunch offerings including pasta, egg, carving and salad stations, as well as hot items like Short Ribs with tomato sauce and spring veggies plus Chicken Parmesan with a choice of roasted cauliflower, fingerling potatoes and asparagus.  Save room for delectable, house made desserts like cheesecake, chocolate mousse, carrot cake, brownies and biscotti.  For those who would prefer to take mom out for a night on the town, Radio Milano’s three-course, prix fixe dinner menu – available from 5 until 9 pm – is the perfect way to start or end the evening.  Highlights include Zuppa Di Lobster with crostini and pesto; Duck Breast with cherry sauce, cabbage and panisse; and Amadei Chocolate Souffle with rhubarb compote and honey comb ice cream.  Brunch is priced at $45 for adults and $20 for children ages 5 to 12.  The dinner menu is priced at $60 per person.

Royal Sonesta Hotel

Give mom the royal treatment with a special Mother’s Day brunch buffet from 11 am until 2 pm that showcases sweeping city views, live music, complimentary mimosas and a special space for the kids with movies and face painting.  Served on the Champions mezzanine, the feast begins with an appetizer buffet and salad bar with dishes like Grilled Artichoke with Prosciutto Ham and Cucumber Martini with Caviar Crisp.  Next, venture to the omelet station which includes made-to-order pancakes, chicken apple sausage and hash browns.  Continue on to the hot appetizers and a carving station offering Beef Jerky Crusted Scallops, 44 Farms Beef Tenderloin, Tomato Crusted Black Cod and Dry Aged Pork Tenderloin Medallions.  Complete your meal at the dessert wall with Raspberry Tort, Crème Brulee, Truffles and more.  The kid’s buffet features chicken tenders, mac & cheese and mini pizzas.  The cost is $56 per person, $48 for seniors (60+), $20 for children ages 5 to 12 and free for children under 5.
