Palm Beach Chic at Hotel ZaZa’s “Party in Pink”

I had a blast at  the annual “Party in Pink,” benefiting the Susan G. Komen Foundation at Hotel ZaZa this past Thursday! The theme for this sold out party was “Palm Beach Chic” with all 500 guests in attendance rocking their hottest pink (or black) attire.

Following check-in, guests were treated like celebrities while posing on the plush pink carpet. I spotted Houston’s own Mike “Chewy” Chabala  (#HoustonDynamo) at the party who was rocking his pink in support of a great cause.

Veuve Clicquot rosé was the main sponsor for the event and was the drink of choice for the night. The food was amazing, Monarch chef Jeff Axline served yummy mini lamb chops and pink cake bites. Fluff Pop was serving up their scrumptious organic & gluten free, guava flavored cotton candy and watermelon Jolly rancher popcorn! Guests were treated to goodie bags filled with pink playing cards, the 2014 Restaurant edition of HOUSTON Magazine and a fireworks show at the end of the night.

While the event was a lot of fun, the serious side of this party is and was the continuous search for a cure as we continue to fight against breast cancer. The Komen Booth’s were staffed with friends of the Komen Young Professionals Council who shared information on Breast Cancer awareness and women’s health education with party goers.

I was happy to be in attendance and am an avid supporter of this great event and cause.
