Audio Pop up with #AllRealRadio at Bacchus Wine & Coffee

Houston we have a problem and it’s the fact that I have spent the bulk of my life living under a rock and missing out on some true wisdom in the form of music and dialogue! But Alas, I have been saved by Houston’s premier streaming and online radio broadcast – All Real Radio (@allrealradio).

I stopped by their audio pop up at Bacchus not knowing what to expect. Thoughts like, “Does this community even acknowledge food bloggers? Will they care that I have been addicted to their streams for the past 2 weeks? Will there be a pop quiz on what I learned at the end of the event!?” raced through my mind as I walked across Dunlavy St. into the venue.

Thankfully those fears immediately disappeared when I walked in and Brother Zin shook my hand and said ” You have a blog, we see you posting and thank you for your support sister!”  At that moment I knew this was the right place for me! The evening kicked off with DJ Del Sur spinning the best mix of oldies, soul and 90’s hip hop, while the guests enjoyed discounted wine specials, warm smiles and hearty laughs. As I looked around the room I was moved by all the beautiful brown faces that filled the space and thought, “This is a community, a family” as no one entered that front door without a hug or a shout out.

The icing on the cake was Brother Bel-Ami (@BelAmi_Music) who serenaded us all with his singles “Young and Restless” &  “(U Do) That Thing”.  BelAmi is super talented and brought it home with his warm vocals and soulful guitar strums. I was able to get a little snippet of “Young and Restless” listen below and check out more of BelAmi by visiting his website

This event was awesome and inspiring to say the least. I can’t wait to be apart of the next ARR event and hope to see you there! All Real Radio is broadcast all over the world, make sure you check them out on Facebook, Twitter and the web!
